Project Lifesaver: This is important news for families with loved ones who are suffering from Dementia or Alzheimer’s...If you don't know already, many states participate in Project Lifesaver...This is a method of being able to track and find loved ones who tend to wander away from home...In many cases local Police Departments can find Dementia or Alzheimer's sufferers in a matter of minutes for what could normally take hours, resulting in the difference between life and death...

Please visit the official website for more details: http://www.projectlifesaver.org/site/

How does Project Lifesaver work?
The Project Lifesaver bracelet is a one-ounce battery-operated radio wrist transmitter emitting an automatic tracking signal every second, 24 hours a day. The signal can be tracked on the ground and in the air over several miles. As each bracelet has a unique radio frequency, the Project Lifesaver search team can positively locate and identify the person who has wandered.

This is a free service in most counties; however, some counties may charge a nominal fee...
